About Rod Park
Rod Park, in excess of 30 years’ experience in the Golf & Leisure business, encompassing Golf, Hotels, Leisure Clubs and Restaurants.
His experience has been gained as a General Manager and a Consultant working predominately in a wide range of golf clubs and commercial enterprises. This has embraced all aspects of the operation with a focus on the delivery of Service Excellence as a key differential between successful businesses and others.
During his career he has worked for many of the biggest names including American Golf Operations which at the time was the largest owner/operator of golf clubs worldwide in the 1990’s. During this time, he and his teams excelled in the delivery of service excellence winning best club for Revenue and Service Integration, best Service Focused employee from over 300 clubs. Other roles have included acting as a course assessor for the PGA Director of Golf Programme, working for major banks and accountants carrying out business reviews for golf clubs, provision of Service Excellence training and ongoing service measurements at numerous facilities.
With a clear focus on Service Excellence throughout his career, other highlights have included developing innovative units-based membership schemes and turning around loss making businesses.
More recently Rod has been heavily involved in the development of The Machrie Hotel & Golf Links, which was recognised as best National Golf Hotel 2020 and Best Hotel 2020 by Scottish Tourism.
