Turf Diseases
Overview
Turf diseases can soon cause untold damage to a golf course and, ultimately, destroy the reputation of a golf business in very quick time.
This course looks at the primary diseases that can occur on a golf course and seriously impact the playing surfaces for the golf. These include:
- Fusarium Patch
- Anthracnose
- Dollar Spot
- Take-All Patch
- Fairy Rings
- Thatch Fungi
- Red Thread
It also looks at the preventative measures that can minimise the threat of disease, as well as the fungicide control of disease should/when it breaks out on your golf course.

Completing the Course
Delegates must complete all units of the course and the self-assessed, end-of-course question to be awarded the “Promote Golf Module in Turf Diseases".
Certificate Qualification
This course also counts towards the “Golf Course Management - part 2” Certificate course.

On completion/participation of this course, PGA Professionals will be provided with valid supporting evidence and information from us so that it can be added as a structured formal learning opportunity on their CPD records.
